Alain Bouju was born in Rouen in 1948. He worked at the L’ecole des Beaux Arts in Rouen. He began painting at the age of 14 and in 1988 he turned professional. He paints landscapes in the heritage and manner of the Rouen school, the delicate light of Normandy in his typical views of the country - seascapes and countryside.

His awards include

• First prize of Normandy Painters
• Bronze medal of National Federation show for French culture
• Grand prize of the town of Rouen.
