Allan D'Arcangelo

Allan D'Arcangelo, sometimes called the poet of the American highway, presents in sharp, clear focus the everyday sights of our industrial environment. Sky and concrete, viaducts and bridges, scaffolding and storage tanks are captured in clean, realistic forms.

D'Arcangelo's museum exhibition credits are extensive and include the Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art, New York; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, N.Y.; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond.
