Ariane R. Berman
Ariane R. Berman's paintings, graphics and plastics have been exhibited in 47 one-person and 102 group shows in the United States and abroad. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hunter College and a graduate scholarship to Yale University, where she graduated with her Master of Fine Arts degree in 1962. She was also awarded a fellowship to study in Paris in 1962-63. Numerous awards have been given to Berman, including the Yale Painting Prize, Purdue University Purchase Award and Stella Drabkin Memorial Award.
One of her paintings has been reproduced as a UNICEF greeting card. Museum collections include the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Athena Gallery, New Haven, Ct. and Purdue University, Lafayette, IN.
