David Najar (1962–)
David Najar is an emerging international artist. His works (oils and acrylic on canvas) present energetic movements of color and shapes, describing scenes from nature. Drawn from previous movements like the impressionists, Najar takes the effect of color and light to a different dimension. The play between thick, impasto areas of color and thin airy layers, between light and shadow, strong strokes and thin lines - gives the viewer a feeling deep space and powerful energy.
David graduated with a B.S. in Social Science and has studied painting with various artists such as Moche Rozentalis. For the past six years David has been working closely with Itzchak Tarkay, exchanging ideas in the arts and painting together once a week.
One can describe his work as "Contemporary Expressionism". David’s paintings are sold world wide and have been shown in group exhibits and one-man shows in Israel, U.S.A., and Canada.
