Italo Botti (1923–)
Italo Botti, who was born in New York in 1923, studied art at the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Art, Leonardo da Vinci School of Art, Abracheff School of Fine Art and Art Students League, New York. He also taught art, in the classic manner of the old masters, at the Art Students League, City College of New York and School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
During his teaching career, Botti became involved in designing larger works in the forms of murals, mosaics, sculpture and stained glass. Italo Botti's brightly patterned stained glass windows and mosaics can be seen in churches and public buildings throughout the United States. His works have been exhibited at the American Watercolor Society, New York; Art Institute of Chicago; National Academy of Design, New York; National Arts Club, New York, as well as numerous other institutions.
