Mark Rowland (1953–)
Mark Rowland has worked in serigraphy since the age of 5, when he assisted in the studio of his father, artist Frank Rowland. Born in Chicago in 1953, Rowland now creates his works in his own studio. He imbues his graphics with a sense of delicacy and life, subtly blending softly modeled forms with geometric abstractions. Among the galleries which have exhibited his serigraphs are Circle Gallery, Los Angeles; Walton Street Gallery, Chicago; Pavilion Gallery, Portland and Pioneer Square Gallery, Seattle. Public collections include Prindle, Weber and Schmidt, Boston; IBM, Computer Science Corp., Los Angeles, and Arthur Andersen and Co., St. Louis.
