Roberta Peck

After graduating in 1949 with a degree in fine Arts, Roberta spent two years in European study, focusing primarily on classic sculpture and bas-relief, continuously working in traditional casting and sculpting media, she began to seek media and methods that would allow for sculptural images that were not heavy and cumbersome.

Roberta was not satisfied with mechanical devices such as vacuum forming or intaglio, which do not allow for sharp detail. After much experimentation, she worked out a method on hand that allowed for the creation of dramatic, yet delicate sculptural relief that seems to float within a frame.

Roberta has won several notional competitions and is respected and collected worldwide.
