Born in Calcutta in 1935, Sakti Burman studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Museum collections include National Art Gallery, Wellington, New Zealand; Muse's d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris; National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, India and Allahabad Museum, Allahabad, India.
